On Friday 29th August 2008, FRENCH CONNECTION continued its sponsorship of the V&A FRIDAY LATES with GET PHYSICAL, picking up on the themes of the exhibition Fashion V Sport.  The main attraction was the captivating Samba Street Soccer School who performed their mesmerising ball skills in the centre of the John Majedski garden. 

Samba Street Soccer is based on specialised Brazilian football skills - ‘Futebol de Salao’ a technique focusing on skill rather than tactics to win the next game.  Visitors took part in football tutorials and then put their new found skills into practice in 5-a-side games accompanied by a funky samba soundtrack.
