They also talk about his influences from his brothers to the 3 Kings; BB, Albert, and Freddie, and what he learned from them as a player. Also, they spoke about the importance of studying theory as a player and about how being a singer has helped his phrasing on the guitar.
About: Warren Haynes is an American rock icon, blues guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and long time member of The Allman Brothers Band and founder of Gov’t Mule.
Haynes founded Gov't Mule, with fellow Allman Brother Allen Woody and former Dickey Betts Band drummer and bandmate Matt Abts. In addition to the Allman Brothers and Gov't Mule, Haynes has recorded and toured extensively with former members of the Grateful Dead, while also maintaining an acoustic solo career. In 2004, he was ranked 23rd on Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, along with fellow Allman Brothers Band guitarists Duane Allman, Dickey Betts, and Derek Trucks.
