I have posted some images from one of the infamous Flash Crash practice sessions from 05.27.2001. The images were all shot by Lamfo with his consumer digital camera. The practice sessions were invite events for racing on the Flash Crash track. Basically, “Hey do you want to race cars?” If the answer was yes, we would turn up the music and charge the batteries. The track contained a nylon fiber in the mud road surface, so it was best to spray the track down with plenty of water to avoid flying particles.
