I can’t believe it! Where did the time go? Moot questions that I ask out of habit. Here’s a run of activities since last I checked in:
1. Jonathan and I saw Star Trek and Terminator Salvation movies. They were roller coasters. I think we liked the latter better. J was in rare form and convinced the ticket taker we could see another movie.
2. Saw Rosemary Blake of the International Black Summit on Broadway while Daa’iya and I were lunching after her show on WHCR. Do listen on Saturday mornings starting at 6AM, “First Light” then at 8 or so I think, “Gardens of Tranquility...” She’s among the best on-air personalities and plays wonderful music. Rosemary is a facilitator for the Summit and I was spozed to talk to the Leadership Council about Sandy Villas and she produced the number like I called her up and asked her to just come on out of this city of 8 million people and help Niamo with what she needs. That’s always how the Summit is for me and this happening another twirl of icing on a spiritually elegant red velvet cake.
3. Spoke with Alexis whose Aunt Una and family from Anguilla helped play host to the Summit last year--where Jonathan and I didNOT go, see the July 31 post he wrote. She gave me tips of follow through about bringing the Summit to the youth in Tobago re Sandy Villas.
4. Spoke with Orin and Patois for 2 hours about Sandy Villas, organic farming, bringing the Summit to the youth and the conversations of possibility that must be had with Tobagonians. He’s worked with the government before, along with Olumide (sp). Next step is to call Afua and Aliai. Maybe tomorrow.
5. Commencement, pre-commencement dinner and other activities took place at work, lots of evening events, that also absorbed the time
6. The kitchen comes closer to fruition. I just ordered granite and backsplash. The cabinets get delivered the week of the 15th so I suppose I have enough time to be ready. Complaining about how long this is taking has done nothing. I could organize my stuff so things go where they should....
7. I am working on a new website through Site Build It! which is a lot of fun and very eye-opening and forcing me to write. I love it.
