Burberry is known for its rain coats, the british company has been lining them with the famous plaid pattern for decades. These days, there isn’t a designer brand that doesn’t have perfume, and Burberry is no exception. In fact, it’s a little difficult to choose a unique fragrance with so many out there.
The Burberry Brit has a woody smell and the top notes include mandarin and ginger. It’s an oriental touch and perhaps purposely done because of the long history the British have with oriental influence. The heart notes are spicy and cedar-like. Once dry, it’s still very woody and musky, making this my first choice for daily use.
I try to stay away from fragrances that are too sweet or floral or fruity. I feel more comfortable in fragrances that remind me of natural smells that may be the crisp clean air of a forest, or the seashore or a wooden bench in a century old locomotion. It brings out the fictional memories i have, traveling through Asia back in the 1800’s. Oh well, who knows, it might have smelled just like this.
British fragrance, made in France. Who would have guessed.
