Jay Kruse - flute maker, percussionist I have two passions: reed flutes and hand percussion. These instruments are so connected to me that I simply cannot choose one over the other. I make my own ney, bansuri and other flutes and I am finding myself beginning to make more of my own frame drums. This was born out of necessity and a love for craftsmanship. These instruments and traditions are finding a new home in the West and not only am I excited to see how they change and persevere, I am delighted to be a part of that process.
