The 1976 Presidential campaigns of Jimmy Carter and Gerald R. Ford were the first to be documented using electronic camera technology. This Presidential campaign season marked the birth of Electronic Journalism. One of the twelve cameramen (2 from each network) who, despite first generation technical issues, poor equipment reliability, and extreme weight, succeeded in this journalistic milestone.
