Birmingham artist Charles Neugent began making crosses for family and friends about eight years ago. Soon, everyone was asking for them! As of 2007 Mr. Neugent has sold almost four hundred crosses just in Alabama. It is now time for these beautiful works of art to be available to everyone via the internet!

The Neugent cross starts with a wooden background which is covered with thick molding paste to create beautiful texture. The cross is then covered in “beach glass”. The entire cross is rubbed with a custom glaze and finally varnished to make the colors really burst and capture the light.
