Looking for a conference keynote or experiential workshop for professionals in the health or mental health disciplines? Look no further. I can provide high level training in multiple aspects of grief and bereavement, meaning-making approaches to psychotherapy, and related topics that can range in time from a single 45-90 minute keynote to one-day, two-day, or week-long workshops. I routinely present to major conferences, universities, and professional organizations in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australasia, working with psychologists, social workers, counselors, nurses, chaplains, physicians and allied health professionals to broaden their awareness of the most recent research in the field of trauma and loss, and to deepen their ability to put this knowledge to work in their daily practice with clients or patients.
In every presentation, I strive for high impact and maximum learning by making use of cutting-edge concepts, research findings, clinical practices and training methods. Content is continually evolving to keep pace with the field and with our own active research program, as well as the construction of new broadcast-quality training videos demonstrating key features of constructivist psychotherapy with clients who struggle with a variety of losses. To increase the impact of training, I integrate art as well as science into each presentation, and anchor abstract conceptualization in concrete experiences such as demonstrations, case studies and exercises to master new principles and procedures. I also provide a detailed handout to participants to help them carry away not only the major points of the presentation, but also clear instructions for the clinical techniques covered and an annotated bibliography of further resources.
For more information on my availability and the cost of hosting a workshop, simply contact me by email, and I’ll direct you to my restricted access Presentation Resources web site, which provides a full description, learning objectives, on-site arrangements and other important details about each of my keynotes and presentations for you and your committee to consider. I’d love to work with you!

Consultation and Supervision
Looking for consultation or supervision in grief therapy or research?
I may be able to help. Just contact me to discuss individualized arrangements for face-to-face, telephone or internet options.
My workshops are constructed using experiential learning theory, drawing on concrete case studies, fostering participants’ reflective observations, using these to anchor cutting-edge theory and research findings, and putting the learning to use through active experimentation with practical clinical skills. Using art and poetry as well as systematic presentation and videos of actual clients and therapy sessions, my goal is to bridge the gap between science and practice in a way that allows each to inform the other.
