Mark Staszko, program director at the Yellow Breaches Educational Institute, a school for troubled youth, which is based on outdoor education has been paddling all of his life.  While he has only been racing slalom for a few years, he is now a passionate member of the slalom community.  A canoeist, he placed first in the 2008 African Continental Olympic Qualifier and 4th in the 2008 US Olympic Trials both in C2.  Between his work and his racing, Mark is constantly on the river, and loves to share his love of the river with everyone.
