Reform baby Reform

I try to keep my mouth shut about politics unless I feel specifically called to speak. Enough people are running their mouths already. But.....the irony of last nights vice presidential debate and the ludicrous claim that McCain/Palin is actually a reform ticket got to be too much for me.
I was immediately reminded of Pappy O’Daniel and his advisors in the movie O Brother Where Art Thou. So, this is a mashup of Palin, O Brother, and Bush.
The question, how can we run on a reform ticket when we are the incumbent part, seems so obvious, yet....I guess they think, to quote from O Brother again, that we’re “dumber than a sack of hammers”.
Secondarily, when did it become unpatriotic to pay for the things that we consider to be patriotic. Fighting wars is patriotic, but paying taxes to finance them isn’t? Having quality schools is important, but paying for them isn’t? The list could go on.
As far as voting, I won’t tell you how to vote. But, keep an eye out for truth, please....please.
