VYA looks like the mangled abbreviation of a US state, or maybe the name of a Russian airline, but it is, in fact, the name of a trendy, small-batch vermouth that turns martinis into magical moments.
The aim of this blog is to share What's Best in Napa Valley with friends and tourists so they can make the most of their visit. I have been a food and wine writer for nearly 30 years. I moved to Napa Valley in 1997, figuring that if I was going to write about Food and Wine, I would be smart to live where the Best in North America is produced, or served. What you'll read about is where to eat, drink and be merry. This is an attempt to satisfy the 3 million visitors who come to Napa Valley annually who have, mostly, the same FAQs.
