The usual small dedicated band of thesps, busy putting life into Ray Cooneys words. I chortled quite a few times often at the obvious gags but also the actors cock ups, should be very funny on the night. Two men short, so some female stand-ins but we will be up to strength come April.
Marion seems to have a very good grip on how the actors should play their parts, its a farce so plenty of exaggerated speech and gestures.
We are down on our usual backstage help also, fingers crossed several of our NADYS will don the black T-shirt and work the ‘tabs’ and help Stafford with the lighting now Mike is no longer with
us.

Cast a bit thin on the ground tonight everyone has so many other things to contend with aside from acting, one cast member struggling on with a nasty cold and one part not yet filled - there were two but yours truly now has a small but significant part. At least I only have a couple lines to learn....However, I laughed and so did the director so the actors are doing something right, it is a comedy after all! Not yet ‘books down’ officially at least but some valiant efforts to keep to the script without reading from it. Thats when the memory goes....A nicely tortuous plot line and plenty of comic moments from Ray Cooney should have the audience rolling in the aisles.
Just six weeks to go - golly!
