Just had a great visit from my sister and her fiance, Filip. The week flew by but it was a lot of fun and it was really great to see both of them again. Guess I should clarify for those who aren’t already aware - my sister is engaged! So feel free to post your congrats here as we are really looking forward to Filip joining our family. They don’t have a date set yet and from what I understand, they are still a ways away from beginning the planning.
During their visit they saw the Rodeo, spent a weekend in New Orleans, checked out an IMAX movie, ate at many, many restaurants, nearly knocked off my car’s rearview mirror backing out of the garage, hypnotized our dogs, had Texas BBQ, stocked up on American snack food to take back to the UK, and watched Firefly. Nice.
For those thinking of visiting, I highly recommend coming in the month of March. The weather is generally very nice during this time of year and seeing the rodeo is a really cool thing that most of you probably haven’t seen before.
