Went in for my second ESI (Epidural Spinal Injection) this past Monday and, while I can’t say things are actually any better, I am hopeful that things may be improving for the first time in 8 months.
So, I actually have MORE pain when I sit and when I lay down - and I find myself waking up at 4am, but I also feel a bit better when standing and the pain doesn’t escalate nearly as quickly or as badly. Overall, I take it as an improvement and, honestly, nearly any change would be an improvement at this point. So I am optimistic.
In other good news, I had a great vacation in Detroit earlier this month. My friend Jeff was given a guys-weekend-out by his wife as a 10th anniversary gift and so we went to see a couple of Red Wings games at the Joe. Had a great time with Jeff. Photos here.
Ahead - off to NY for Halloween. Then got news that Victor (yes, the Victor that pulled me through MIT) will be in town in November for a wedding. Sweet! Think it’s been ten years since I’ve seen him. I hope he won’t actually hold me to that whole “build a statue as a tribute” thing.
Great weekend seeing a couple of games at the Joe. Click on the picture to see pics of the weekend.
