Mark’s Blog

9:21pm Sunday night.  Another weekend almost gone.  Another weekend ‘wasted.’

Actually, I had a great weekend.  It was very relaxing.  Watched some U.S. Open tennis with my lovely wife.   Watched the Patriots in HD while video-chatting with fellow Pats fans Mike and Regan.   Grilled out.  Bought and installed a nice (but too large) new printer.  Took a nap.  Installed my airport express.  Checked out two senior communities for my mom.  Even edited my screenplay down by 20 pages.

Yet as the weekend winds down the overwhelming feeling I have is that I ‘wasted’ my weekend.   I did not get any work done.  I didn’t get a head start on the week ahead and I know that there won’t be enough time during work hours to get everything done.  So now I am stressed and feeling overwhelmed and pretty useless.

Trying hard to enjoy myself, take some time for myself, and not feeling guilty about it afterwards.  I am doing really well with the first two parts (perhaps too well) -- struggling mightily with that last part.

Watching the Pats destroy the Jets on Sunday.  Set the MacBook up in front of the TV so Regan could see the game through our video-chat.

Lost Weekend
