Seattle was great! Nice time of the year to get out of Houston and hit the great NorthWest. Click the picture of the Bison above to see some of our pics.
We were originally planning on taking a day cruise to Vancouver on Sunday, but Anne forgot to bring her passport so that plan had to be scrapped. Hopefully my project with the University of Washington will get going soon and Anne can join me on another trip before the weather gets too cold - or perhaps next Spring. EIther way, we are thinking of taking vacation in Vancouver next year.
For this trip, I was working during the days, but we had Sunday and the early evenings to go exploring. We saw the Northwest Wildlife Preserve, the Seattle Zoo, Pike’s Market and we went on a Duck Tour of the City. Every night we got back to the hotel early so we could watch the Olympics. Love the Olympics. Anne really gets into it, too, so that makes it even more fun.
Watching Phelps has been incredible, but did anyone else see Phelps interview with Mark Spitz? That was quite disappointing.
How about the 100M final in track and field? One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. Can a human really be that much faster than everyone else on the planet? Amazing.
Speaking of amazing, check out Natalie Coughlin in the DirecTV programming guide this month. Wow. I actually can’t find a picture of it online - so I’ll scan it in at some point. She may replace Jennie Finch on Regan’s list! Well, maybe she isn’t tall enough.
Man, I’m starving. Trying to drop the seven pounds I gained over the five days in Seattle. I swear I only had two Krispy Kreme doughnuts! ARGH.
