Mark’s Blog

The party is four days away!  I am even more excited than normal because I am dieting until the party and I AM STARVING!  Bring on the ham and the turkey and the chocolate!  (Ah, but not the chocolate ON the turkey.  You hear me Kridner?  Not again!)

Most of the lights are up.  Still need to do the kitchen.  Not sure why, but the breaker tripped last night.  Couldn’t possibly be too many lights, could there?  This is not good.  Anne didn’t even use the hairdryer last night.  Hope the lights can make it to the Christmas party.

The Christmas cards have been mailed out.  Anne is currently wrapping gifts and making me watch a”Lipstick Jungle” marathon.  Is it just me, or are the main characters pretty wooden?  I mean, I think some of the dialogue SHOULD be funny, but it doesn’t seem to come off that way to me.  And what is up with these names? Victory?  Nikko?  (Or Nico?)  Ridiculous.

Yikes!  I asked Anne how you spell Nico (short for Nicole?) and she said “Oh no!  Are you writing your blog?  Now people will think I watch this.  This is my first time!”  So for the record, my wife does not normally watch “Lipstick Jungle” and when I asked her, she said she doesn’t like it....ah, but she has read the book.  Ok, now I am finding out too much.  I’ll put up with this - come Feb I’ll make her watch the Dollhouse three times a week!  :)

Oh, before I go - I spent the early part of last week in Chicago at the RSNA show.  That was really amazing to see all the medical equipment companies showing off their products.  Other than the show itself, not much to tell.  Didn’t see much of Chicago except for the “German festival” I passed when walking the four blocks from the train to the subway.  Probably would have appreciated it more if I wasn’t in Germany last month.

Wow.  I am so hungry.

Downtown Chiacgo - the German festival.  Check out all the Christmas trees.  Using this picture to show Anne how many trees we should have at our Christmas party.

Limping Towards Christmas
