Apologies for not keeping up with the blog/website the last several months. Having my mom in town had some unexpected side effects - like being too tired to update the website. But things should be returning to normal.
I just came back from moving my mom back into her house in Massachusetts. Her stay here went really well, but she is pretty unclear on what she will do with her house or where she will be living. She’ll need a couple of weeks to relax before we start to talk about it, so stay tuned.
Not a great deal going on here. The trip home was great. Pictures of the trip are here. It was one of those trips that makes me really miss the Massachusetts area. The weather was great and I got to see some friends that I wish I could see far more often. Lately I’ve really been feeling like too much of my life is slipping away between seeing my friends, and this was reinforced during my trip.
Finally got out to Sully’s house and we watched a Celtics game together for the first time in 18 years. Ah, just like old times - except now we have bigger guts, wives, children, and we didn’t try to play basketball at halftime. Ok, so it was almost nothing like old times -- but I did get to play Donkey Kong Jr. and SiniStar in his basement, so maybe it was BETTER than old times!
While I was home, I loaded up my Star Wars action figures from my mom’s house and brought them back with me to Houston. I counted 46 of them, including 6 figures that were never opened and another 15 that were taped back into their original packaging. (FYI, a Star Wars action figure cost $1.69 at Spag’s in 1978.) Now...where to display them?
Oh yeah - and Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there!
