A Living Memorial
The garden will continually evolve and renew itself thanks to the numerous outdoor plants, small trees, and flowers received as donations for planting in Mom and Dad’s garden. The Grandchildren came up with this very cool idea to create a living memorial in Mom’s honor, so that everyone could enjoy it. However, it probably wasn’t very realistic to think that THEY would actually bear the heat and get some dirt under their nails! I know I wasn’t!
Naturally, it was Bobby, the other farmer in the family, who stepped in and helped Dad to prep the yard and do all of the planting. As you can see, they did a great job of fixing up the flower bed in the front yard, replacing the deteriorating wood stakes and revitalizing the soil.
There are still more plants to find a home for, and updates will be
added to this site as the garden starts to fill in.
