Wonderful glimpse of the real world., November 15, 2007

By

Shana Richardson

Whether we live in a big city or a small town, there are always those among us who judge, who feel their way is the only way, who live a holier than thou life. . . yet behind their own closed doors, they are normal people with normal faults. There are also those who accept you as you are, and love you no matter what. This book comes alive with both types of humans. Life in any part of the world can be filled with joy, with difficulties, with tragedy. This book takes a glimpse into the lives of normal people, all wonderfully unique and all trying to live together in a small town. Each has an interesting story to live out, a lesson to teach, and most importantly, lessons to learn. You will laugh out loud and you will also feel what it is like to be hurt. This book will make you hugely aware of your own actions toward other people. Be prepared to be changed, and to look forward to the sequel!

Linda in New York writes: What an enjoyable read. I loved it. I found myself taking buses all over the city just so that I had extra time to get in another chapter. I was even thrilled last night when sitting on the crosstown bus, traffic came to a standstill and I was actually happy so I could get to another secret revealed. This morning I found myself again taking a bus which is actually unheard of since I am such a subway person. Anyway, I had to stop reading as I did not want it to end, so I closed the book, bought myself an extra large coffee, got to work, closed the office door and enjoyed the ending in total absorption.

I truly enjoyed every character, some more than others. Flo and Winnie were my favorites. It also made me realize that I LOVE happy fantastic endings where the unbelievable happens and the serendipity of life ties us all together.    Excellent. Wonderful. I will NOT pass this book around  but will tell all my friends to buy one.

I hope you’ve already started on the second book. I’ll be waiting to see what life offers Kyle and Anna in a couple of years…

Again – thank you for such an enjoyable week [of reading]. Prairie Springs is a wonderful story with interesting twists and thought provoking topics, you may even get banned from small town USA…. Now wouldn’t that be good for PR?

Leroy in Temple writes: This has got to be made into a movie.movie.

OMG! OMG! OMG!

I just finished Prairie Springs.  Incredible writing.  I love it.  I was

determined to finish your book this weekend, because I just was enjoying

it so much.  I believe I just read a book faster than I ever have in my

life.

The ending is great and not what I expected at all. I need to sit here

for a while and just absorb it all.

Stefany in Houston writes: Great--really great! It's the type of book I like to read--I don't want it to end and I can't stop thinking about it when I finish.

Phyllis in Rosenberg writes: LOVE your book!  I pick it up and read it every free minute!  I even read it while driving to work - so get busy with the next one!
