My Art Pottery & Me
Dinner wares and presentation pieces are what I really get my kicks out of but keeping up a diverse range of work on the shelves of the gallery is my challenge.  My passion for food and making it from scratch has led me to explore the matching of table wares to the multicultural cuisine that we all part take.  The colours must be complementary with patterning that is simple.

Good pottery needs to start with good form so my pottery forms need to impress me before I can commit them to production.  Glazing needs to be done with care and as for decoration, less is definitely more.  I am not perfect nor am I a perfectionist but I get smart results.  Currently I am experimenting with different clay types which has opened up a whole new field of learning – and it’s provided a new lease of life.

My wish list is long and hours in the day few.  I have heard that the most common reason for giving up pottery is running out of things to do.  If this is so, I have a long journey before the pottery will be done with me.  I want to make pottery for life and hope my children’s children will find my pots in their adventures through out the world.
