Greenbank Synagogue 1937 - 2008

A Celebration of the life of this wonderful Synagogue.

This film was produced and directed by Michael Sprince and Louis Collins.

 
 

In the mid 1930’s the officers of Hope Place Synagogue organised the building of a larger Synagogue in the Sefton Park area. On 14th of June 1936 the foundation stone was laid and in 1937 the Synagogue opened its doors to a large and vibrant congregation.


The last Sabbath service was conducted on the 5th of January 2008.
