Hi, that’s me in these photos. My name is Sugar and I’m a female Shetland Sheepdog. My heart was broken because I became a rescue dog after my family could no longer keep me because of a new baby. I’m good with cats but my new home doesn’t have any. I’m 100% house trained and I live indoors 24/7 except for going outside when nature calls. I know several commands and am the perfect little lady. I’m very shy around strangers as most Shelties are.
The top picture is just after exiting the car after arriving at my new home. The whole family is here to meet me. As you can see I’m quite a bit bigger than my older sister.
The bottom left is how I started out on my trip home but later in the trip I moved forward one more row in the mini-van.
The bottom-right photo is me with two of my family members just before starting our journey to my new home and family.
As you can see I’m very cute but so is my behavior. One of my special talents is barking and spinning to let you know the phone is ringing. I hear my new sister loves to bark and spin too. I miss my family very much but now I have a wonderful loving family which is looking forward to the unfolding of our lives together. They tell me they are endlessly patient and will love me forever no matter what messes I might get into.
One thing I am nervous about is the trip to the vet for a complete well physical so the vet will have a baseline health check to go by just in case any health problems arise later. I know it’s for the best so I’ll do my best to be brave but it’s not easy.
