Immediate Action Required!
Several issues face our city that need immediate attention.
1. Real Solutions to the crime that is destroying our city. Gangs must be taken head on, as they threaten our schools and neighborhoods. Work tirelessly with the Sheriffs Office to cut off drug imports at the source.

2. A top to bottom review of the City Government - looking at budgeting and spending practices, contracts, bids and awards and developer deals. Reviewing the City Charter and Codes to decide if they need to be modernized.

Public Safety

A Quick Note About My Plan
As I share this plan, I hope to get beyond whose ideas are bigger or better.  I also wish to point out with this plan I am presenting, it is designed is to foster debate and discussion.  I am offering A solution, not necessarily THE solution.  Careful, detailed and civil debate focused on the issues is what will move us in the right direction.

Personality issues, power grabs and personal vendettas are issues that have bogged us down for years.  Let’s have a civil debate and discourse of the issues so that we may move forward to solutions that we can all agree on.

Public Safety Plan:
We stand at an important crossroad in the history of the City of Salisbury. Like every city and municipality across this country, we face some serious issues.

Public Safety has, I believe, several key components:

First is the requirement that our City infrastructure incorporate all aspects of travel, vehicular, pedestrian and public transportation.

Second is the need for a crime plan that fits Wicomico County, the City of Salisbury and the municipalities in this county.  Getting into the heart of the many issues face, we need a change of direction and we need to look at trying things differently.  Obviously, if we continue to do the same things we have always done, we will continue to get the same results.

Third, I believe we need to coordinate with local organizations, churches and other groups to step up and offer alternative opportunities to our youth.
