Being mindful
Being mindful

I received my Masters Degree in Physical Education from East Tennessee State University in 1982. While at ETSU I served as a Graduate Assistant under Coach Dave Walker. I coached Cross Country and Track Coach at Tennessee High School from 1974 through 2004. In December of 2002 I retired from teaching. From January 2003 until March of 2004 I worked with both the American Cancer Society and Mountain Sports Limited here in Bristol. I took the Cross Country coaching position at King College in 2004 and started the track program in 2005. As of July 31, 2008 I retired from coaching but am finding many other avenues of expression. Hopefully I will be able to see more of my daughter Ashley who lives in Atlanta. My current pastime activities include running and hiking with Lucy the Buddha Dog, reading, cooking, listening to music, remodeling my abode, friends on Facebook.
In 2005 I began to practice yoga which has lead to a continued curiosity related to personal growth and the meaning of spirituality. I am enjoying pursuing these interests.

“We often see things/people as we wish them to be and not as they really are”
"I honor the place in you in which the entire universe dwells. I honor the place in you which is love, of truth, of light, and of peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are one."
Bob Marley’s: War / No More Trouble ....... "we don't need no more trouble" a song of peace .... one love
Metta (loving-kindness) prayer
May you be free from fear.
May you be free from suffering.
May you be happy.
May you be filled with loving-kindness.
kindness and respect
"You don't have time to waste on someone who does not respond to you with kindness and respect. You don't want to spend your time around people who make you hold your breath. You can't fill up when you are holding your breath." - Anne Lamott
Lately I’ve been: working out using a enjoyable new (for me) technique !!
