We have been very lucky in our first few years with the support we have had from the people of Hay on Wye. All our fund-raisers have been well attended and we have raised over £1500 This has been so successful  thanks to the musicians who have donated their time for free. Castalia and The Cougar both gave us fantastic evenings at the Globe in Hay. The Globe is a wonderful venue and also very generous by letting us use their premises for our events.

 

We have also been very grateful for grants from the Gold Star Communities small grants scheme and the NHS  Wales for Africa Grants scheme . Without this start up funding we would be a lot further behind.

 

The Hay Festival have also been extremely generous giving us publicity and proceeds from ticket sales for our talks which raised over £500 this year.

 

We would also like to thank Hay2Timbuktu and Textbooks2Timbuktu for their continued support with selling tickets to events and generating support.

 

The local Press is also very kind to us The Herefordshire Times and the Brecon and Radnor Express in particular.
