Rich at Vivid Photography Awarded AIPP Qld Wedding Album of the Year for 2009!!
The highlight of the year for all professional photographers in Qld is surely the AIPP Epson Qld Professional Photographer of the Year Awards presentation dinner. It was a fantastic night held in the Grand Ballroom at Victoria Park Function Centre. Vivid Photography came away with two awards; The AIPP Qld Wedding Album of the Year Award as well as the Highest Scoring Photo Book Award. This is the third time Vivid have won the Wedding Album of the Year Award with Cath winning in 2003 and Rich in 2007.
The wedding album entry is a very special album as it is an entirely new concept developed by Vivid Photography. The album is a two volume set featuring beautiful fabrics and an innovative design for the cover and slipcase. But inside is where it counts and this album is stunning. Volume One features images from the wedding day all taken in a photojournalist style and presented in B&W. Volume Two is entirely different and features all the highly artistic and location shots taken throughout the day, presented in a very creative way. All images in Volume Two exhibit the latest in imaging techniques, featuring textures and vintage photographic tints and effects. This is really unique and should be seen by anyone interested in an authentic and unique presentation album for their wedding images. A slideshow of the albums can be viewed here:

So what about the Highest Scoring Book? Well Rich travelled to the United States this year for some photography seminars, and was lucky enough to spend 4 days in New York. From this he created a beautiful limited edition hand bound book. These are absolute collectors items and really need to be held to appreciate. You can however view the images from the book here:
