The Family Vacation
What a blessing to have good friends! Karine and Eric whom we met in Taize some years back and who live in Montrouge (a town next to Paris) and who also have five children! invited us to come and visit with them. So, last week we picked up and made the trip and spent a wonderful week exploring a new world. It was the first time for all of us in Paris and we really really enjoyed ourselves.
The city is beautiful, very large (Prague looks like a wee town in comparison) and quite neat and clean. And it has its own special atmosphere. Our friends’ apartment on the seventh floor has a view of the Eiffel tower, but the best thing was to just walk around and explore things - using our limited French to make ourselves understood in stores, at the playgrounds and on the buses.
