Letter from our President

Hello Everyone,

MTAOSA had a great year thanks to all our members and those participated in our workshops in 08-09!  Our board members worked hard in making it a successful year, and we are looking forward to 2009-2010.  Our own Dr. Madeline Bridges will be joining us in August to start us off the new school year.  Bob de Frece and Terri Sucllin will also be presenting, and you will not want to miss these events!  Our Silent Auction is in August, so keep those items that might be a good to auction at our first Fall workshop.  This is a great way to contribute to your Chapter and to help raise money to bring in your favorite presenters.

In other new, Save the Date for National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin November  11-14, 2009!  If you haven’t been to AOSA National Convention-  You Must Go!  It’s worth the time and effort in getting there.  See AOSA’s website for more details as www.aosa.org . 

Also, our friends in Chattanooga and Southern Region-  SAAOSA (Southern Appalachian Orff Chapter) are offering wonderful workshops.  See their information listed on our website or contact Theresa Brown at  brownt18@k12tn.net.

Membership Passes are available again this year.  Buy yours early and save on our workshops.   Also, Remember to Bring A Friend to a workshops and help support our teachers in Tennessee.  MTAOSA is a great way to find support and colleges especially for new music teachers starting out!
