Matt Silady grew up in the Chicago suburbs. After teaching eighth grade for six years in Champaign, Illinois, he moved west to pursue a career in writing. In June of 2007, he released his first graphic novel, The Homeless Channel. He recently accepted a senior lecturer position at the California College of the Arts where he currently teaches the school’s graphic novel curriculum.
