Matt Silady grew up in the Chicago suburbs. After teaching eighth grade for six years in Champaign, Illinois, he moved west to pursue a career in writing. In June of 2007, he released his first graphic novel, The Homeless Channel. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at the California College of the Arts where he teaches the school’s graphic novel curriculum.
