For the past few weeks, we have been discussing in class the idea of independence, “levels” and “types” of dependency, as well as the reasons that might have led American colonies to seek separation from their mother nations in Europe.

Nevertheless, this process did not happen in the same way for all colonies, and the outcomes of their struggle were also different.
