PBET Characteristics
A list:
Course prerequisites have been identified (and are enforced).
Performance objectives are derived from analysis.
Objectives are clearly worded and measurable.
Course design is derived from objectives.
Hands-on practice is maximized.
Performance tests are used to measure competency.
Practice and tests are repeated until "mastery" of the objective is achieved.
NOTE: To the extent that these things are absent, performance-based training is minimized. These items are critical and foundational.
