I was asked to write up my syllabus (by CollegeBoard) to help people with the AP Audit who use BVD.  Writing this syllabus was a fascinating process.  As you work to make everything look nice and fit into a pre-scripted format, the product slowly becomes a little different than real-life.  With that in mind, here are three different resources:

*My homework blog:  This shows what I am actually doing, day by day.  Both right now and going back to April of 2006.  If you want to see what is really happening, including all the hiccups of sub days, rally days and life in all its messiness, just look here.  FYI, you might notice that my ’07 - ’08 pace is a little quicker than previous.  I think that the current pace is closer to the recommended BVD pace.

*Derksen Syllabus-D.doc:  This is the syllabus I wrote for CollegeBoard and is a nice template for helping make sure you pass the audit.  It is a lengthy document.  It has information about my school, a pacing guide, projects, and more.  It represents what I did in the ’06 - ’07 school year.

    *Derksen-BOCK Syllabus.doc:  (Word doc) or

    *Derksen_BOCK Syllabus.pdf:  (pdf):

Dave Bock took my pacing guide and made a few changes.  He put the chapters in their regular order and aligned the guide with the materials that a BVD adopter would have.  It is a good guide to see what the author recommends.  For a rookie, the standard order is probably preferable.
