The San Leandro Sports Foundation (SLSFI) is a newly formed non-profit benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. SLSF is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization, comprised of local business people, parents, teachers and concerned community members.

    The immediate mission of the San Leandro Sports Foundation is to raise awareness and funds for the renovation of the Burrell Field football, track, and soccer stadium: and then to continue on in perpetuity as a fundraising vehicle for other community groups active in supporting and improving playing fields, play grounds and the athletic infrastructure within our community.

    The specific and primary purpose for which this organization is formed is to educate the general public as to the benefits of physical activity and to provide charitable assistance and support for the planning, building and maintenance of sports facilities in the San Leandro, Alameda County, California area.

    The guiding principle of the SLSF is that the improvement, renovation, and building of athletic facilities will encourage more of our youth and adults to play and exercise, crating a healthier and happier community.
