Steep crud

As a workable distraction Rebecca sent me away on a ski trip to Sun Valley, ID.  A good deal for me.  It was cold, snowy, and uncrowded.  I alpined for a few days, then tried the nordic tracks for a day.  Certainly the nordic was more relaxing, as there wasn’t a soul in sight for miles and miles of groomed and ungroomed cross country trail.  SV is steeper than most in my experience, including Taos, which makes for fun descent on inch-wide straight skis.

Apollo had suggested places and times to ski at this mountain.  His advice was right on, as the bowls were skied out by 10:30.  Even the bumps were chunky.  Those locals are prolific adventurers!
