Assignments:
Includes homework assignments, class work, quizzes, tests, projects, and long and short-term group work.
Materials required in class:
Students are expected to bring pencil and pen, two spiral notebooks or the equivalent, folder with dividers, planner, and completed work as assigned.
Class Rules:
θ	Leave objects inappropriate for the classroom at home or in backpack:  music player, phone, food, etc.
θ	Enter the classroom on time, calmly, and ready to work.
θ	Respect everyone and everything in this classroom.
θ	Raise your hand before speaking.
θ	Obey the Oakdale High School Discipline Policy.
Make Up Work or Extra Help:
It is the responsibility of the student to conference with the instructor whenever the student has been absent or needs extra help.  It is the responsibility of the student to make up all work missed as soon as possible.  Test and quiz make ups can be taken during office hours and must be arranged with the instructor as soon as the student returns to class.
Office Hours:
♦	At the beginning of lunchtime (11:28-11:40am)
♦	Directly after 6th period (2:05-2:15pm)
If possible, please notify the instructor of your planned attendance. 
Late Assignments:
Homework assignments will be accepted late, for half credit, until the day of the test or unit project.  After the test or project the assignment will remain a zero and cannot be made up. Students that are absent will be given a reasonable amount of time to make up the work and must make arrangements with the instructor.  Projects turned in late are penalized one grade per school day.
Renaissance Rewards
o	1 bubble:  
•	1 homework assignment accepted late for full credit anytime before the end of semester
•	Full credit on lowest quiz
•	Turn in a project 1 day late with no penalty
•	10% extra credit on a test
•	3x5 card on chapter test
•	Library for a period
o	3 bubbles:  drop lowest chapter test
Grading Policy:
ϖ	Homework and class work: 30%
ϖ	Quizzes: 20%
ϖ	Tests and projects: 50%
ϖ	Management of class time and participation.
Academic Dishonesty:
Academic dishonesty is completely unacceptable in any form and will not be tolerated.  All persons involved will receive a zero on the assignment and a referral to the Vice Principal.  Violations include, but are not limited to, cheating, plagiarism, collusion, claiming work (no matter how small) that is not of your own creation, any act designed to give unfair advantage to a student or the attempt to commit such acts.  Plagiarism is failing to correctly indicate places where you are making use of the work of another.  Please discuss with the instructor if you need information on quoting and citing properly.  Absolutely no copy-and-pasting!!

Tardy Policy
♣	1st and 2nd tardy student will receive a warning
♣	3rd tardy student will receive a detention
♣	4th and on & on… student will receive a detention or a referral
