minimusic
Minimusic Workshops
run every Wednesday from 5-6.30pm, in the Kingsley College Theatre, Redditch. They are aimed at children aged between 4 - 6 years, and will encourage the development of musical skills, predominantly through singing, but also through movement and the occasional use of instruments.
The main aim of minimusic is to develop an enthusiasm for singing whilst allowing children to experience a diverse range of musical material. As well as developing the singing talents of your children, minimusic also encourages their ability to work in a team, grow in confidence, improve co-ordination, & develop parts of the brain that only this kind of creative activity can reach!
The sessions will be informal with the emphasis firmly on fun & enjoyment, there are no auditions and absolutely everyone is welcome!

The minimusic team
The staff team involved with the project have considerable experience in music, education and community arts & bring their own individual professional ability and skills to share with your children. They have also been responsible for the hugely successful & well established musicmaker project, launched with funding from the National Foundation for Youth Music in 2000.
Progression
Once your children reach the age of 7 they will be able to progress to the musicmaker workshops, and further develop their vocal skills and range of singing styles. During their time with minimusic they may be involved in performances in conjunction with musicmaker, & other community groups as well as smaller performances of their own.
