The goal of Automated Light Transit (ALT) is to provide an economical and convenient alternative to conventional light transit.  ALT achieves this by combining wheel in track technology with automated control.  ALT aims to provide elevated, powered tracks for it’s automated vehicles at in installed cost under $100,000 per track mile.  Vehicles will travel at up to 225 miles per hour, and will be constructed from molded fiberglass composites to reduce weight and construction costs.  By allowing automated point to point transit at high speeds and low installed cost, ALT will be a compelling alternative to conventional light transit.
