The CEO Peer Group

IT’S LONELY AT THE TOP

You’re the Boss.

You have ideas, problems and questions about your business.

Who can you talk to?

The Peer CEO Group is a forum where you can discuss your ideas and problems with other business owners.

  1. Confidential discussions

  2. Unbiased advice – no vendors, consultants or competitors

  3. Relevant experience – members are business people like you

  4. Idea-generating feedback – opens your mind to new approaches

  5. Discipline to keep you focused and on task – group holds you accountable

  6. Easy process – administration is handled by the facilitator

How Does It Work?

The Peer CEO Group meets once a month for three to four hours, plus lunch.  The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, since none of the members are suppliers or competitors to each other. Members host the meeting on a rotating basis, and the host company sets the agenda for the day. An experienced business coach/consultant facilitates and keeps the conversation focused.

Each member of the group has a chance to describe their business, their plans, and any particular challenge or question they have.  Group members offer their own experiences and suggestions for overcoming challenges. At subsequent meetings, members are asked which of the suggestions were tried, what worked, and what didn’t. This accountability to the group helps you stay focused and take action on the problems you most need to address.

Who Belongs to the Peer CEO Group?

Current members are the owners and/or managers of businesses in the manufacturing and distribution sectors whose companies have $5 million to $50 million in annual sales. Their companies are involved in full service business furniture design and installation; specialized roller coating design and manufacture; packaging products; shipping supply manufacture; manufacturer’s representatives; and abrasives equipment production.

What Do Members Say?

“A great source of current business information,” says WKK, President of a packaging company. “It’s allowed us to grow and become more professional.” He’s been a member for 15 years.

The Peer CEO Group has “been a great help in keeping up with best practices,” according to CW, President of a shipping supplies manufacturer, a member for 10 years. It’s been “extremely helpful in keeping us from making bad decisions.”

GB, President of an office furniture design and installation firm, says, “I really absorb what’s said at the meetings – especially when I’m not the host. I hear it with a clear mind because I’m not thinking about other things.”
