More sprained ankles, yarn made of fire and life with a rock star
The Chuck and Mo Spot
First of all, Chuck re-sprained his ankle. He was running early one morning and his ankle just gave out. He is now going to be extra careful and take good care of his ankle. This means wearing a brace for the next couple of months and applying ice after every workout.
Next, I got to dye yarn!!!! Amy and Kelly invited me over for a dye session on the 27th. I love how my sock yarn turned out! I think I might actually have to dye a huge batch and sell some on Etsy. Mmm....my dream of sitting around and making stuff and getting paid for it may finally come true. Stay tuned for funky skeins of sock yarn coming your way.
The finished product. I already started the toe of a sock to see how this color would knit up.  Mmmmmm... I’m going to have fire socks!
Next up. I participated in the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure on the 30th. Thanks to everyone who made a donation. It was freaking hot that morning! There were so many people that I ended up walking really slow instead of the speed walk/jog I had imagined. No space for me to be funky. I never hooked up with the group from work so I walked alone with thousands of other people. Aw! Don’t be sad. I had my iPod with me so I rocked out the entire time.
Here is my yarn in the process of being handpainted. I thought it would look like Ronald McDonald yarn but it ended up looking very fiery. I can’t decide what I want to name this colorway. “Del Fuego” or “Let Me Stand Next To Your Fire!”?
Life with a rockstar! Chuck’s band had a gig the nght of the 30th. Here’s Chuck singing “Bang a Gong”.  I’m such a groupie. I even kept the set list. I’m working on figuring out how to edit video on my Mac so I’m hoping to have a short clip posted soon.
