Greek Fest and 12, Count em, 12 Projects Staring At Me
The Chuck and Mo Spot
October always starts off really well for me. The first weekend of every October is when the Annunciation Greek Orthodox church in my neighborhood hosts THE original Greek Fest.  This year marked the 40th year of the festival. You couldn’t swing a cat without hitting some baklava or souvlaki (there were no kitties harmed in the making of this web page).  Seriously, the food at Greek Fest is the best Greek food I’ve ever tasted. Perhaps they put crack in the food because every time I’ve ever been to a Greek restaurant, I always say that the food is never as good as it is at Greek Fest.

This year was more mellow than last year but the weather was great. We were joined by John, Jon and Mike.
Here’s Chuck enjoying some contraband wine and spanakopita.
I love Greek Fest!!!
Ah, here’s John and a box of fresh loukamades.  The crowds are unbelievably huge at Greek Fest. The sea of people behind John is just a small sampling. The fest continues on across the street and down the block.
Some odd guy sat down at the empty chair at our table.  Here’s Mike enjoying the company of his new friend. :)
I knew that I had a few random unfinished projects on the needles. So, out of curiosity I counted them up. Twelve! Twelve freakin’ unfinished knitting/crochet projects. I was horrified.  I
don’t want to be one of those “starts stuff, doesn’t finish” people. (Yes, Amy. I can hear your voice now asking about the purple sweater!) So...to remedy the situation, I made an Excel spreadsheet (because I’m also a geek) and listed all my in-process projects. Now, some of these projects are as small as half a sock or a kitty blanket out of leftover yarn, but still, they need to be finished. A couple of the projects are Christmas gifts so those will definitely be done by the end of the year.  I’m not saying that I will finish all of the projects before I start a new one but I think I can cut the list in half before I get the urge to bust out some fresh yarn.

The photo above and to the left contains 4 of my unfinished pretties. The photo next to it is my stash of yarn (mostly sock yarn) that calls to me everyday.
