Zombie Art

The Chuck and Mo Spot
I came out of my blog-hibernation for Zombie Art. And where does one hang Zombie Art?...
In a 1930’s bathroom, duh! I got this groovy shower art set from Uglybaby on etsy.com. The piece is made out of rubber and has suction cups embedded in the back.

I like having a daily reminder that each day without a zombie eating my brain is a good day.
The shower art inspired me to create my own resin art. I put this together for my friend Sarah who owns Sew Crafty Houston (which is a fabulous place and has a brilliant knitting instructor - wink, wink).

You probably can’t see it too well but there is a sewing needle embedded in there as well as some beads.

I’m going crazy with resin art now. I’ve made a couple of other pieces so far - one that looks like crap and one that Chuck took to work before I had a chance to photograph it.
I’ve been very crafty lately. Teaching knitting classes, painting for school, making pin cushion rings, mixing up resin and sprinkling glitter all over the place are just a few things I’ve been working on.

For some reason I keep starting knitting projects before finishing anything. I did manage to finish a few kitchen towels and these socks.
Perhaps the reason why I can’t finish any knitting is that Bruce often shoves his Sponge Bob ball in my hand whenever I sit down.

“OH PLEEEEZE!!!! THROW THE BALL!!!!”
Chuck and I made the drive out to El Paso last week for Grandpa’s funeral. It was nice to see the family but I could have done without the oven-like atmosphere.

While in EP we took Bruce for a nice long walk in my old neighborhood. It felt so weird to walk the same path that I did when I was eleven.  Everything looked so small.
