The Chuck and Mo Spot
AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! This post was originally created almost a week ago but issues with trying to edit the same site from two Macs, two different versions of iWeb and one gigantic file that took 4 hours to transfer prevented me from posting this. So....here we go again. Hopefully I haven’t jacked up this site too much.

I have found that the new version of iWeb doesn’t have a bunch of new bells and whistles that I expected so I’ll stick to the one on my older Mac until iWeb “dazzles” me.
So...LAST weekend we took a road trip with Chad and Corrie to Fredericksburg, TX for a little more wine tasting.  We visited three wineries: Woodrose, Becker and Chisolm Trail.

My favorite of the three was Woodrose. They added a huge patio, which Chad and Corrie enjoyed (see photo).  I think I had the best wine experience there because it was the first winery of the day and my taste buds were fresh. The sweet chocolate lab named Lola who sat on the deck with us made the day a little nicer too.
One of the local places we hit was Hondo’s on Main St. We left before the live music started but it seemed like a really fun place. They have the largest kid’s hot dog I have ever seen. No, really!

Corrie and I made t-shirt purchases, of course. FYI - you can put your t-shirt purchases on your tab.
Mmm.....the barrel room at Becker Vineyards....don’t you wish you could smell it?
By the third winery, I had to weenie out and skip on the tasting. I had tasted about 10 different wines that day and I could feel a headache coming on.  Several of the tastings were much larger than just the little sip that you normally get so I figured I had taken in 3-4 glasses by 3 PM. Chuck was a little giggly by this point in the day.  Check out the evidence to the left.
Of course nothing beats hanging out at home with furry four-legged creatures that like to curl up on your lap or your shoulder.

Oh, BTW - if you are looking for a great, homey place to stay in Fredericksburg, I recommend the Almost Home Guesthouse.  It’s located on the main street, you get free pie (get your pie before 6PM!) and the place was clean and well stocked. If you stay in Suite A, you can thank Chad for the package of hot chocolate mix in the cupboard.
