I was more than content with my 94 mini truck. 4.5’’ lift, and huge 32 BFG muds. But then I saw a 60 series Land Cruiser. It was completely stock, still captivated me. So I sold the mini truck, and started the search. There was nothing. At the bottom of the page in the local AutoTrader there was a ’97 Land Cruiser. I gave an unenthusiastic call to the owner and arranged a meet. Educated myself with Slee Offroad’s Newbie Guide and went to look at the cruiser.
It was love at first sight.

OME 2.5” lift, ARB bullbar, Kaymar tire carrier, Milford Cargo Barrier, 33’s, lockers, and cloth seats!

The truck came a little mangled. Someone had hit the DS fender and tore of the flare. The PO had an unpainted replacement. I got it painted and replaced the flare. First mod was a pair of 30mm spring spacers from Man-A-Fre. They did a good job minimizing the stinkbug, but provided to much castor and brought the shakes. Then I lost the running boards.
