Session Dates: June 21 - 26, 2009

Course Description: This overnight camp is an abbreviated version of the Ultimate Camp and exposes campers to some of the most famous natural resources in the great state of Colorado.  Campers will participate in focused activities related to rock climbing, rappelling, high and low challenge course and rafting on the Arkansas River.  This camp is limited to the described activities to give campers the opportunity to enhance their skill set and see visible progress from the beginning of the week to the end. Each evening campers will spend time together at bonfires, watch an outdoor climbing and adventure documentary, explore the 670 acre camp, go on night hikes, and participate in some traditional and not so traditional camp activities.  View the sample itinerary.

Instructors: Campers work with highly trained and Certified Instructors and Guides for all adventure activities.  Instructors and Guides employ and teach the most current industry practices.  Our objectives are two fold; first is safety and teaching youth about gear and techniques for success, secondly our instructors engage their students in a parallel process that creates an environment of total learning.  Through this combination of first-rate rock instruction and a safe learning environment youth are poised to explore concepts like overcoming challenges, facing fears, build confidence, positive self-image, and environmental stewardship.   Our instructors and guides hold certifications and/or memberships through the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA), Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT), the Professional Climbing Instructors Association (PCIA) and Wilderness Medicine Outfitters (WMO).

Leave No Trace:  Outer Edge Performance is committed to maintaining the beautiful outdoors of the Colorado Mountains and Front Range climbing areas.  We hold certifications in Leave No Trace, and employ and teach these ethics to campers.
