Caleb Dyer & Rebecca Howard
Caleb Dyer, from Wilkes County, NC died in 1821. His wife, Rebecca Howard Dyer moved with her 9 children to Monroe County, TN. In 1832, Rebecca and children followed son Benjamin to Crawford County, AR. Benjamin and Rebecca died in 1834. Children of Rebecca and Caleb Dyer include:
Betsy who married William Mooney and died circa 1832.
Elisha Dyer, born in NC in 1800 married Polly Townsley 1824 and had Joel Sater Dyer born in 1826 and Nancy Emily Born in 1829 and married Tandy Key Kidd. Francis Marion was born in 1835. William Perry was born 1842. Trephonia Adeline was born 1844 and married Dr. William Washington Mahan in 1890 who died in 1896. She died in 1915. They lived in Prairie Grove.
Polly Townsend Dyer died in 1860. and is buried in the Dyer Family Cemetery.
Joel Sater and Francis Marion served in the CSA.
