सुस्वागतम्

I am a PhD candidate in the South and Southeast Asian Studies program at UC Berkeley.  My language of focus is Classical Sanskrit along with several other languages.  My academic advisors are Professor Robert P. Goldman and Professor Alexander von Rospatt.

My focus of study is Gāruḍa medicine (toxicology), a topic that spans medical and religious genres in Sanskrit literature.  I am also working on the topic of possession.  For my Master’s Thesis I critically edited a section of the Kriyākālaguṇottara dealing with the curing of possession through invocation of the deity Khaḍgarāvaṇa.
