Take a stroll out the back door of the Neighborhood Nest and you’ll be smitten. Flowers are growing out of everything. Pebbled walkways lead to more plantings. Old chairs peek through tall grasses. Pots spill over with blooms. This is where everything that grows, GROWS WILD!
So, where do we dig up ideas for our wee gardens? Here, of course. My mother’s mix of antiques and flowers led us down similar paths. We started to look for that perfect rusty miniature chair to mix with a our little garden beds of sedum. We tipped over tiny pots in the same way she had scattered them about for years.
I tell my boys that their grandmother has green thumbs, fingers and toes!
