Lightning photos
Some of my favorite lightning shots. Feel free to browse and enjoy, but please remember, as always:
NOTE: All photographs, regardless of whether or not they are watermarked, are my sole intellectual property. I have captured many at risk to myself and ask only to be acknowledged as the source & owner. If you wish to use any off this site, please e-mail me requesting permission to do so!
Lightning photography is, inherently, a dangerous activity. I do so at my sole risk and almost never encourage others to do it! In fact, I generally seriously discourage people from taking photographs and/or video of lightning during any storm without first gaining at least basic knowledge of safety techniques & practices and, perhaps more importantly, how to recognize the danger under and around a storm. Photographing lightning is far more dangerous than tornadoes for the simple fact that it happens spontaneously and one can’t always see where the threat is coming from, let alone avoid becoming a victim! If you are still curious, just do yourself a favor and make sure you know what to do when it gets too close...
